  • A hostile mentality does not serve the security of nations
  • The Emirati model offers a lesson in decisiveness and resilience

Exclusive, Voice of Emirates – Researcher and political analyst Tariq Abu Zeinab stated that the Gulf region and the Strait of Hormuz are witnessing a new phase of tension following the escalation of the confrontation between the United States and Iran.

This came after US President Donald Trump announced the end of the truce with Tehran.

This move reflects Washington’s shift to a more hardline approach in dealing

with what it considers Iranian behavior that threatens regional and international security.

Serious repercussions for regional stability

This comes amid escalating concerns about maritime security, given the attacks on oil tankers

and the threats to one of the world’s most vital energy and trade routes.

Researcher Tariq Abu Zeinab added that the rapid developments in the Strait of Hormuz

reflect the magnitude of the challenges facing the region’s security.

He also warned that Iran’s continued escalation could lead to serious repercussions for regional stability.

He pointed to the impact this would have on global trade and energy security.

A hostile mentality does not serve the security of nations

Abu Zeinab continued, stating that Iran has proven, through its escalation and use of pressure tactics,

that it deals with its regional environment with a hostile mindset that serves

neither the security of the people nor the interests of the region’s countries.

He also pointed out that the security of the Gulf and international waterways cannot

remain hostage to policies of imposing influence or attempts to destabilize the region.

Abu Zeinab explained that targeting the Qatari tanker “Al-Rukayyat” as it transited near the Strait of Hormuz,

just days after Qatar participated in the mourning ceremonies for the Iranian Supreme Leader,

sends a clear message that political courtesies and diplomatic messages do not change the essence of relations.

If they are not translated into responsible behavior based on respect

for sovereignty and the preservation of regional security, then they are insufficient.

The Emirati model offers a lesson in decisiveness and resilience

Abu Zeinab emphasized that the UAE’s experience in confronting regional challenges has presented

a distinct model based on decisiveness, resilience, and the protection of national interests.

He also affirmed that the UAE has proven it does not respond to threats with a retreat, but rather with the resolve of a nation capable of defending its security and strengthening its partnerships.

Furthermore, the UAE has maintained its position as an active stabilizing force in the region.

Abu Zeinab concluded by saying, “In politics, nations are not measured by declared intentions, but by actions and results.

Iran has chosen the path of escalation, while countries like the UAE have chosen the path of quiet power,

responsible deterrence, and building influence through development and stability.

History does not record speeches, but rather stances.”
