Dubai, UAE – Dubai International Airport is preparing to enter the peak summer travel season, with about 3 million guests expected to pass through its buildings during the first half of this July. The peak period begins with a noticeable increase in the movement of departures starting July 2. As residents head out for their summer vacations.

July 12 is expected to be the busiest day, welcoming more than 225,000 guests. Within a two-week period in which daily traffic repeatedly exceeds 200,000 guests.

It is also expected that passenger traffic passing through the airport will constitute about 50% of the total number of guests. Reflecting Dubai’s position as one of the world’s most interconnected and connected aviation hubs.

human face

Dubai Airports is working to transform peak travel during the summer into a humane experience closer to guests. Passengers departing and transiting through the airport at Concourse B in Terminal 3, next to Gates B28, can participate in the interactive Dubai in the Heart experience. Which allows them to be part of a collective painting that expresses the diversity of Dubai society and its global presence before continuing their journey.

By uploading a selfie, each guest’s photo is added to a growing digital mosaic in the colors of the UAE flag. It grows with every passenger who passes through Dubai International Airport, bringing together individual moments in one image that expresses the unifying spirit of Dubai.

interactive experience

The experience also includes a space dedicated to handwritten letters, allowing guests to share words of pride, gratitude and belonging. Which gives a personal dimension to this initiative.

The experience is not limited to this interactive space only. Rather, it extends to include rewards that guests can benefit from at participating stores throughout the airport. Including souvenirs and exclusive offers.
