Beirut, Lebanon – Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam expressed his gratitude to the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, for the decision to allow Emirati citizens to travel to Lebanon. He considered this step a reflection of the deep fraternal relations between the two countries and a contribution to supporting Lebanon on both the economic and tourism levels.
The Lebanese Prime Minister emphasized that the decision represents an important message of confidence in Lebanon and reflects the UAE leadership’s commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation and supporting the Lebanese state’s efforts toward recovery and stability. He also noted that the return of Emirati visitors will have a positive impact on the tourism sector and economic activity in the coming period.
He added that the Lebanese government continues to take the necessary measures to enhance security and stability and provide a suitable environment for welcoming visitors and ensuring their safety. These measures also contribute to revitalizing the tourism sector and restoring Lebanon’s position as a distinguished Arab destination.
The Prime Minister emphasized Lebanon’s pride in its historical relations with the United Arab Emirates. He also expressed his aspiration to expand cooperation between the two countries in various sectors, serving their common interests and strengthening the fraternal ties between the two brotherly peoples.
