Amman, Jordan – The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the drone attack that caused a fire outside the inner perimeter of the Barakah nuclear power plant in the Al Dhafra region of the United Arab Emirates.
Warning against escalation
The Jordan Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed the Kingdom’s complete rejection of any attacks targeting vital and civilian infrastructure.
It also stressed the necessity of respecting the sovereignty of states and maintaining the security and stability of the region.
The Ministry warned of the dangers of escalating attacks targeting infrastructure and strategic facilities,
given the potentially serious repercussions for regional and international security.
Jordanian solidarity with the UAE
Amman affirmed its solidarity with the UAE in confronting any threats to its security and stability.
It also expressed its support for the measures the UAE is taking to protect its vital infrastructure and territorial integrity.
The Jordan Foreign Ministry stressed the importance of intensifying international
and regional efforts to reduce tensions and prevent further escalation.
This would contribute to maintaining the region’s security and stability.
