Abu Dhabi, UAE – The UAE Government Cyber Security Council, in cooperation with SEPEX Holding, announced the launch of the “Emirates Cyber Factory”. In a move aimed at strengthening the UAE’s digital leadership and consolidating its cyber sovereignty.
This project comes amid the rapid development of cyber threats in terms of scale and complexity. This will contribute to enhancing the UAE’s ability to predict, monitor, and respond to advanced cyber attacks, whether targeting institutions or individuals.
The Cyber Security Council confirmed that the UAE has recorded more than 800,000 cyber attacks daily in recent months. This reflects the need to strengthen an advanced and flexible defense system to protect vital national infrastructure and consolidate digital trust in society.
Through this project, the Cybersecurity Council and SEPEX Holding Company seek to bring about a qualitative shift in the cybersecurity system in the Emirates. In line with the UAE’s drive to design, develop, and produce locally sourced cyber solutions with global competitiveness.
