Abu Dhabi, UAE – His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, received a delegation from the UAE Competitiveness Council and the winners of the third edition of the “Nafes” Award. He commended their efforts and professional experiences in the private sector, emphasizing the importance of supporting and empowering national talent across various economic fields.

The President congratulated the award winners, wishing them continued success and excellence.

During the meeting, he listened to their experiences and success stories from

their work within private sector institutions and learned about their achievements in their career paths.

Supporting localization and empowering talent

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the UAE Competitiveness Council

in achieving Emiratization goals and enhancing citizen participation in the labor market.

He also commended the role of partners who contributed to supporting the Council’s programs and initiatives.

And He affirmed that the private sector is a fundamental pillar in supporting the national economy.

And He also emphasized the state’s commitment to empowering and developing Emirati talent to work in this vital sector.

Focus on future skills

The UAE President emphasized the importance of equipping national talent with future-oriented skills to ensure

their active participation across various economic and developmental sectors.

This is particularly crucial given the rapid global transformations in technology, the digital economy, and artificial intelligence.

This aligns with the UAE’s ongoing efforts to enhance the competitiveness of

Its citizens and increase their contribution to the private sector.

This is achieved through diverse training and development programs, as well as various incentive initiatives.

Extensive official attendance

The meeting was attended by a number of sheikhs, ministers, and officials,

reflecting ongoing official support for Emiratization programs and initiatives to develop Emirati talent.

The “Nafes” Award is one such initiative aimed at recognizing outstanding Emirati citizens working in the private sector.

The award also encourages national talent to pursue diverse professional experiences

that contribute to supporting the national economy and promoting sustainable development.
