Dubai, UAE – Emirates Airlines received 20 new aircraft during the fiscal year 2025-2026.
The carrier also owned 29 Airbus A380 aircraft and 5 Boeing 777 aircraft as its lease contracts expired.
The total number of aircraft in the fleet reached 277, with an average age of 10.8 years.
Emirates continued to support its growth by receiving 15 new Airbus A350 aircraft during the year. By the end of the fiscal year, the number of aircraft of this model in service reached 19 aircraft operating flights to 21 destinations.
Insurance-backed financing
According to the tanker’s financial results, Emirates Airlines succeeded in raising 10 billion dirhams through financing arrangements for aircraft through local and international markets. It included Japanese operating leases, insurance-backed financing, and French tax lease structures. In addition to financing supported by export credit agencies.
Emirates Airlines carried 53.2 million passengers during the fiscal year, and seat solvency reached 78.4% compared to 78.9% in the previous year. The rate of return per passenger per kilometer increased by 4% to 38.1 fils (10.4 US cents).
