The rise in indicators was mainly supported by banks’ business results for the first quarter of this year. Which was positive to reflect the flexibility of the banking sector and the ability of the local economy to confront any developments in the region.
The Abu Dhabi Securities Market index succeeded in closing up 0.43%, adding 42.14 points to its gains and closing at 9,788.84 points. The Dubai Financial Market index rose by nearly 0.69%, and by about 40.15 points to 5854.19 points.
The total trading value reached 1.8 billion dirhams after 570.6 million shares were traded during 44,000 transactions.
Abu Dhabi Market
The total trading value on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange amounted to AED 1.099 billion, covering more than 373 million shares across 27,553 transactions.
Anan Investment shares topped the list of most active shares in terms of value with about 167.19 million dirhams, followed by Abu Dhabi Commercial shares with a value of 147.61 million dirhams, then Alpha Dhabi Holding shares with a value of 105.27 million dirhams.
Dubai Financial Market
The total trading value on the Dubai Financial Market amounted to AED 709.22 million, after trading in 197.62 million shares. By executing 16,448 transactions. The market witnessed an increase in the shares of 20 companies, a decrease in the shares of 27 companies, and stability in the shares of 6 other companies.
The list of rising stocks included Emaar Properties, which rose 0.16% to AED 12.4. Emaar Development by 0.65% to AED 15.3, Dubai Islamic Bank by 1.12% to AED 7.17, and Emirates NBD by 1.95% to AED 30.2.
Dubai Investments shares also rose by 1.26% to AED 4.01, and Dewa by 1.86% to AED 2.73.
