Jeddah, Saudi Arabia – Shabab Al-Ahli bid farewell to the AFC Champions League Elite competition after losing to Japan’s Machida by a score of 1-0 in the match held on Tuesday.
Al-Ahli youth team met with Japan’s Machida at Al-Inma Stadium, in the semi-finals of the Asian Championship.
Yuki Soma scored the only goal of the match for Machida in the 12th minute of the first half, leading his team to qualify for the final.
Machida is scheduled to face Al-Ahli Saudi in the AFC Champions League final on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 9:15 PM Abu Dhabi time, and 8:15 PM Saudi time.
Al Ahli youth had qualified for the semi-finals, after defeating Buriram in the quarter-finals of the continental championship.
Meanwhile, Al-Ahli Saudi had secured their place in the final, after defeating Vissel Kobe of Japan 2-1.
