Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – The UAE national pavilion witnessed a remarkable and widespread presence from delegations of participating countries and representatives of global companies in the defense and security sectors. This took place during the opening day of the Defense Services Asia (DSA 2026) exhibition,
which commenced today in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur.
The UAE participation is supported by the Ministry of Defence and the Tawazun Council, and organized by the ADNEC Group.
On its opening day, the pavilion hosted a high-level delegation headed by His Excellency Dato’ Sri Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia.
The delegation was briefed on the latest solutions and advanced technologies offered
by national companies in the fields of air, land, sea, and cybersecurity systems.
International interest and strategic movement
The UAE National Pavilion attracted over 1,800 visitors on its opening day, including official delegations
from Thailand, Serbia, Nigeria, Cambodia, and Zimbabwe.
The pavilion transformed into a global platform for fostering strategic dialogue,
hosting more than 52 high-level meetings to explore avenues for joint cooperation.
These figures reflect the growing global interest in the UAE’s defense industry
and underscore its capacity to deliver competitive innovations that address global security needs.
Review of national innovations
A select group of leading Emirati companies, including EDGE, Calidis, Resources Industries,
and ASIS Boats, participated in the event, showcasing their latest advanced defense systems.
The innovations on display, particularly in advanced manufacturing and smart systems,
garnered widespread praise from industry leaders and military officials.
This underscores the commitment of these national companies to strengthening
their presence in Southeast Asian and other promising international markets.
Promotion of upcoming defense events
Capital Events, a subsidiary of ADNEC Group, capitalized on this momentum by holding promotional meetings
for upcoming defense exhibitions hosted by the UAE. These include IDEX and NAVDEX 2027,
as well as UMEX and SimTEX 2028. These initiatives aim to attract new markets
and solidify the UAE’s position as a leading global destination for business tourism.
They also aim to establish the UAE as a specialist in organizing major defense and security events in the region and the world.
