Tunisia, Tunisia – The Said Palace Sand Racecourse in Tunisia witnessed, on Sunday, an exceptional start for the first stage of the 33rd edition of the UAE President’s Cup for Purebred Arabian Horses. Amidst a large audience attendance exceeding 15 thousand spectators. In a festive scene that reflects the prestigious global status of the cup.
The horse “RB Boy Friend”, a descendant of “RB Byrne × Rich Friend”, was crowned the opening station after a heroic performance and great comfort. To confirm his readiness for the international season of Arab horse racing. Under the supervision of coach Ali Al-Qaydi and the leadership of knight Adel Al-Qaydi, the champion owned by Omar Ismail Gharghar was able to raise his tally to 9 victories and two runner-up positions out of 11 participations.

The race for horses, “Class 1 – Group 1”, over a distance of 2000 metres, witnessed a strong start in the final metres. Rb Boy Friend rushed brilliantly at the end to lead the race and widen the gap, ending the competition with a time of 2:18:05 minutes.
In second place came the horse “Afjan” from Sand Stables, supervised by Mohamed Farhat and led by Olivier Dandini. While the third was “Waad Al-Adiyat” for Al-Adiyat Stables, under the supervision of Sami Al-Bajawi and the leadership of Sandro Paiva.

The race and the crowning of the winners were witnessed by Her Excellency Dr. Iman Ahmed Al Salami, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Tunisia. His Excellency Faisal Al Rahmani is Secretary General of the Supreme Organizing Committee for the UAE President’s Cup races, in addition to a remarkable official and diplomatic presence.
