Abu Dhabi, UAE – The UAE Education, Human Development and Community Council announced a new set of regulatory measures related to the educational process.

These measures include the continuation of distance learning for two weeks at the start of the third term.

The decision applies to all students, teachers, and administrative staff in nurseries, kindergartens, and public and private schools.

Ensuring the continuity of the educational process

The Council explained that the decision comes as part of its commitment to student safety and ensuring the efficient continuation of the educational process.

The Council affirmed that the situation will be reassessed weekly in coordination with the Ministry.

Therefore, necessary measures will be taken as the situation develops.

It was also decided that distance learning will continue for two weeks for students in higher education institutions across the country after the spring break.

This decision will also be reviewed periodically in coordination with the Ministry.

A safe and flexible learning environment

In a related development, the Council announced that federal government employees who are parents providing care, whether fathers or mothers,

will be granted flexible remote work arrangements, provided their job responsibilities allow for it.

This applies during the period of distance learning for students from kindergarten through eighth grade.

The decision also includes children enrolled in nurseries.

The Council emphasized that these measures are part of a proactive policy

aimed at supporting the stability of the educational process and providing a safe and flexible learning environment.

Furthermore, these measures seek to maintain the quality and continuity of education across all educational institutions in the country.
