Abu Dhabi, UAE – Al Jazira secured a well-deserved 3-1 victory over Khorfakkan at Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium in a match that was part of the 20th round of the ADNOC Pro League.

With this victory, Al Jazira continued their positive run in the competition, raising their points tally to 37 and securing third place. Meanwhile, Khorfakkan’s points remained at 20, leaving them in ninth place.

The match was exciting in the first half, which saw four goals scored – three for Al Jazira and one for Khorfakkan. The pace of the game slowed somewhat in the second half, allowing the home side to maintain their lead until the final whistle.

Al-Jazira launched an early attack and succeeded in opening the scoring in the 14th minute through Mohamed Rabie after a superb pass from Mohamed Elneny, who then broke into the penalty area and shot the ball into the net.

Khorfakkan almost equalized in the 25th minute with a shot from Tariq Tissoudali, but Al Jazira goalkeeper Ali Khaseif made a brilliant save.

Al-Jazira returned to strengthen their lead with a second goal in the 32nd minute, after Simon Banza and Melson exchanged passes before the latter succeeded in putting the ball in the net.

Khorfakkan narrowed the gap in the 37th minute, taking advantage of a mistake by goalkeeper Ali Khaseif, after Adama Diallo snatched the ball from him and shot it into the goal despite an attempt by one of Al Jazira’s defenders to clear it.

Before the end of the first half, Simon Banza added Al Jazira’s third goal in the 48th minute, continuing his impressive scoring form with his team in recent matches.

In the second half, both teams tried to score, but the score remained unchanged. Al Jazira maintained their three-goal lead and secured all three points.
