Abu Dhabi, UAE – The UAE Ministry of Defense announced that its air defense systems and fighter jets successfully dealt with large-scale hostile aerial threats on Wednesday, including intercepting 3 ballistic missiles and destroying 121 drones out of 129 that were detected, while 8 drones fell in various parts of the country.

The outcome of confronting the aggression

The ministry released a detailed statement outlining the statistics of the confrontation since the start of the blatant Iranian aggression, reporting the following:
Ballistic missiles: 189 missiles detected, 175 of which were destroyed, 13 fell into the sea, and one landed on land.
Drones: 941 Iranian drones detected, 876 of which were successfully intercepted.
Cruise missiles: 8 cruise missiles were destroyed.

Human and material losses

The ministry confirmed that the interception operations resulted in material damage to some civilian properties due to shrapnel.

Tragically, the attacks resulted in the deaths of three residents of Pakistani, Nepalese, and Bangladeshi nationalities,

and minor injuries to 78 people of various nationalities, including Emiratis, Egyptians, Sudanese, Lebanese, and others.

Condemnation and the right of reply

The Ministry of Defense strongly condemned this military attack, describing it as

a “blatant act of aggression and a flagrant violation of national sovereignty and international law.”

The Ministry affirmed that the UAE reserves its full right to respond to this escalation

and to take all necessary measures to protect its security, stability, and national assets.

The Ministry emphasized that its forces are on high alert and fully prepared to counter any threats, stressing that the safety of citizens and residents is its top priority.

It also urged the public to obtain information from official sources and to avoid spreading rumors,

noting that the sounds heard in the country are a result of successful interception operations carried out by the nation’s security forces.
