Abu Dhabi, UAE – The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that the UAE possesses a comprehensive and advanced air defense system. This system is capable of effectively and efficiently countering various types of threats. It also emphasized that the security of UAE airspace is a paramount and non-negotiable priority.
In an official statement, the Ministry explained that the country’s defense infrastructure has undergone comprehensive strategic upgrades in recent years.
These upgrades have included the development of early warning and monitoring systems. Moreover, they included the enhancement of capabilities to counter ballistic missiles and drones.

Advanced operational expertise
The statement added that the UAE Armed Forces possess advanced operational expertise and undergo regular training exercises simulating multiple scenarios. As a result, this ensures rapid response and precise handling of any emergency developments, whether conventional or unconventional.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the air defense system is not limited to modern equipment and technologies. It also relies on integrated intelligence and regional and international coordination, which enhances deterrence effectiveness and reduces opportunities for escalation.
The statement affirmed that the UAE adopts a defense strategy based on the principle of “preemptive deterrence”. It also focuses on the protection of vital installations and strategic infrastructure.

The ministry also affirmed that strengthening defense capabilities does not contradict the UAE’s approach of de-escalation and adherence to political and diplomatic solutions.
