Abu Dhabi, UAE – The UAE Minister of Defense, during a telephone call, discussed with the Deputy Prime Minister for Defense Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman the developments in the region in light of current developments, stressing the importance of intensifying joint coordination in a way that contributes to reducing tension and enhancing regional security and stability.
Following regional developments
The call addressed the latest political and security developments in the region and their impact on the security and stability of its countries, in light of the recent escalation of tensions. Both sides emphasized the importance of exchanging views and assessments on issues of mutual interest, in order to enhance preparedness and cooperation between the two countries.
Strengthening defense coordination
The two officials stressed the importance of continued coordination and consultation between the relevant agencies in both countries to ensure effective responses to current challenges and to safeguard their territorial integrity. They also affirmed that defense cooperation between the UAE and the Sultanate of Oman is a cornerstone of regional security.
Supporting de-escalation efforts
Both sides affirmed their support for all efforts aimed at de-escalation and prioritizing political and diplomatic solutions, thereby sparing the region further tensions and safeguarding the interests of its people. They noted that continued joint coordination reflects the depth of the fraternal relations between the two countries and their commitment to strengthening stability in their regional environment.
