Sharjah, UAE – The Sharjah Department of Government Relations discussed, during its meeting today with a high-level delegation of heads of diplomatic missions and representatives of European Union countries,

This, along with members of the European Union delegation to the United Arab Emirates,

will explore ways to strengthen diplomatic relations.

Joint cooperation between the Emirate of Sharjah and the countries and cities of the European Union,

With a focus on the emirate’s pioneering development experience

and its qualitative initiatives in the fields of creative economy, education, research and innovation.

The delegation was received by Sheikh Majid bin Abdullah Al Qasimi,

Director of the Department of Government Relations, at the Chedi Al Bait Hotel.

investigating future cooperation

The meeting explored prospects for developing existing partnerships and investigating future cooperation opportunities.

This is in line with the Emirate of Sharjah’s approach to building effective communication bridges with international partners.

And supported joint work paths in sectors of mutual interest.

The delegation included 17 ambassadors and representatives from European Union countries,

including the ambassadors of Austria, Cyprus and Denmark.

Also, Estonia, France, Germany, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Romania and Slovenia.

This is in addition to the Chargé d’Affaires at the Embassy of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg,

and the new Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain,

In addition to the European Union delegation to the country, headed by Her Excellency Lucy Berger, the European Union Ambassador to the UAE,

In the presence of a number of senior mission officials.

established relations

Sheikh Majid bin Abdullah Al Qasimi affirmed that the visit of the European ambassadors

and diplomats reflects the international standing enjoyed by the Emirate of Sharjah.

And the strength of its well-established relations with the countries of the European Union, based on mutual respect and a shared vision of cooperation.

He pointed out that the visit opens up broad prospects for developing future partnerships in multiple sectors,

based on Sharjah’s experience in culture, education and building a knowledge economy.

He added that the emirate looks forward to translating this communication into joint programs and initiatives

that are feasible, enhance institutional coordination and expand areas of joint work.

This serves the priorities of all parties and achieves a sustainable impact for society and future generations.

Emphasizing Sharjah’s commitment to supporting international partnerships based on the exchange of knowledge and expertise,

This contributes to achieving the development goals of both sides.
