Abu Dhabi, UAE – Mena Biofuels has signed an agreement with Cyblot International, a global leader in testing, inspection and certification services.
Following strategic meetings during the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference, ADIPEC 2025.
With the aim of establishing the first independent laboratory in the UAE specializing in testing and certifying sustainable aviation fuels.
This cooperation reflects the continued momentum achieved by Mena Biofuels’ participation and its progress towards developing an integrated value chain for sustainable aviation fuels.
Includes raw material collection, production, testing, certification and purchase agreements.
The laboratory will be established within the Oil Industries Zone in the Emirate of Fujairah, where it will operate in accordance with the highest international standards.
It will provide independent verification and certification services to ensure that fuel produced in the UAE conforms to global aviation sector standards, both for domestic use and for export.
This agreement comes as a continuation of a group of important partnerships announced by Mena Biofuels during the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference and the Dubai Airshow.
Which included memorandums of understanding for future purchase agreements with Emirates, ENOC, ADNOC and Evertree.
Which establishes an integrated framework that includes raw materials, production, testing, certification and distribution.
Together, these initiatives confirm the UAE’s leadership in innovation in the field of sustainable fuels and efforts to decarbonize the aviation sector globally.
This achievement represents an additional step in MENA Biofuels’ journey, towards operating the UAE’s first commercial facility to produce sustainable aviation fuel within the Emirate of Fujairah.
The emirate’s location reinforces its position as a leading regional center for innovation in clean fuels, specialized certification, and quality assurance that meets export standards.
