Cairo, Egypt – On Tuesday evening, the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in the Arab Republic of Egypt organized an official reception to mark the 54th National Day, in the New Administrative Capital.

This was in the presence of His Excellency Ambassador Hamad Obaid Al Zaabi, the UAE Ambassador to Cairo and Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States.

This is in addition to a number of senior Egyptian officials, diplomats and public figures.

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, and Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports.

Engineer Sherif El Sherbini, Minister of Housing, Utilities and New Urban Communities,

Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation, in addition to Arab and foreign ambassadors, media figures and public figures.

Ambassador Al Zaabi: The UAE is a unique development model and a model in human development

In his address to the attendees, Ambassador Hamad Mohammed Saeed Al Zaabi

welcomed the guests of the celebration,

He stressed that the 54th Union Day represents a national milestone

that reflects the values ​​of unity, loyalty and belonging.

He said: “Today we celebrate the fifty-fourth National Day of

the United Arab Emirates under the slogan ‘United’;

This is the day on which the meanings of loyalty, unity, and belonging are renewed.

In it, we recall the journey of a nation that believed that unity is the path to strength,

and that man is the true wealth of any renaissance.

Al Zaabi added, “Since its founding by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan,

our dear nation has been moving steadily, with vision and insight towards the future…”

For fifty-four years, the UAE has created a unique development model based on work

and excellence, openness and partnership, tolerance and prosperity.

He continued, saying, “This journey has never been just about digital

or architectural achievements, but rather, above all, it has been a journey of human advancement…”

Thanks to this, the UAE has become a proudly cited Arab success story,

and an oasis of hope looking towards a brighter future under the banner of our wise leadership.”

Vision 2031 and Centennial 2071: A roadmap for the future of the UAE

The ambassador pointed out that the “We Are the UAE 2031” vision and the “UAE Centennial 2071” vision,

led by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan,

represent an integrated roadmap for a new phase of national transformation.

It invests in the new economy, supports future industries, values ​​innovation,

and opens wide doors for young people to be active partners in the march of progress.

He said, “We are confident that the coming years will bring with them more profound

and impactful achievements that will enhance the international standing

of the UAE and serve stability and development in our region and the world.”

Strong Emirati-Egyptian relations

Al-Zaabi touched on the bilateral relations between the UAE and Egypt,

stressing that they are “deep-rooted relations forged

by shared experiences and refined by challenges.”

It was nurtured by leaders who believed that the security, stability

and progress of both countries were one and the same.

The UAE and Egypt are linked by deep historical, cultural and human ties,

and these ties have been strengthened by joint work.

Mutual investments and continued support in various forums.”

He added: “The convergence of visions between the leaderships

of the two countries regarding regional issues forms the cornerstone

for building a strategic partnership that serves future generations.”

He continued, “In this context, I can only express the appreciation

of the United Arab Emirates to the Arab Republic of Egypt, its leadership, government and people.”

Because we always find genuine love and fruitful cooperation

that becomes more firmly established year after year.

A celebration that carries a message of loyalty and a shared future

In closing, Ambassador Al-Zaabi thanked Egypt, its leadership, government and people,

for their support and cooperation.

He stressed that the celebration is not just a national occasion,

but also “a renewal of the pledge to continue the path of development,

preserve stability and create opportunities.”

He said, “Our celebration today is not just a commemoration of

a cherished national memory, but an occasion where we look with optimism to the future.”

We renew our pledge of loyalty to our wise leadership,

and we affirm our commitment to the Union’s mission of promoting development,

creating opportunities, and preserving stability.

Ambassador Al Zaabi added, “On behalf of the United Arab Emirates, leadership and people,”

I extend my sincere thanks to the Arab Republic of Egypt for its continued support and cooperation.

And to all the distinguished attendees, thank you for sharing this day that is so dear to our hearts.”

He concluded by saying: “I pray to God to perpetuate the blessing of security

and safety upon our two countries,

to protect our Arab homelands,

and to guide us all to what is best for

our people and the future of our children.”

May the UAE be well every year, and may dear Egypt

and its generous people be in progress and prosperity every year.”
