Dubai, United Arab Emirates – GE Aerospace celebrated a major milestone at the Dubai Airshow 2025 with a groundbreaking ceremony for its new $50 million On Wing Support facility at the Mohammed bin Rashid Aviation Project in Dubai South.
This was attended by a number of senior leaders from GE Aerospace and the Mohammed bin Rashid Aviation Project.
The new leased facility extends over an area of 120,000 square feet.
The area of the current GE Aerospace will increase fourfold.
The growth of the CFM LEAP engine fleet and the entry into service of GE9X engines will enable the service to be significantly expanded for customers in the Middle East and the world.
For the first time in the history of the Aircraft Maintenance and Technical Support Services Center, the site will include training facilities dedicated to maintenance, repair and renovation to enhance the capabilities of work teams and meet customer training needs.
Construction of the new facility is expected to begin in December 2025.
It will be completed in the first quarter of 2027.
