Dubai, UAE – The Advanced Military Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Center (AMMROC) signed a memorandum of understanding with Boeing Global Services. This aims to explore opportunities for collaboration in aircraft component maintenance, repair and overhaul services. It also considers joint industrial initiatives.
Under the memorandum, signed during the Dubai Airshow 2025, the two sides will explore opportunities for cooperation. The collaboration will focus on the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of components for the Boeing CH-47 aircraft. Specifically, it will concentrate on components related to hydraulic systems, landing gear, electrical systems, and propulsion systems, all under U.S. State Department export credits.
Both sides intend to jointly assess available cooperation opportunities in the coming phase. This paves the way for a formal agreement outlining the details of their future contractual relationship.
Industrial Participation Program
This memorandum supports activities related to the requirements of the Industrial Participation Program between Boeing and the Government of the United Arab Emirates. Any projects or contractual relationships resulting from this collaboration can be considered a framework. This framework will pertain to Boeing’s industrial participation commitments under this program.
Jassim Al Marzouqi, CEO of AMMROC, said: “This agreement reflects AMMROC’s focus on building fruitful partnerships with leading global institutions. Through this collaboration, we aim to create new opportunities. These will enhance our technical cooperation and provide added value through component maintenance, repair, and overhaul services.”
Al Marzouki added: “We are pleased to cooperate with Boeing to explore future opportunities in areas that support its air fleet. This step paves the way for launching joint initiatives that serve the interests of both sides. It will enhance efficiency. Additionally, it will support cooperation in the sustainability of the aviation sector.”
For his part, Matt Fishering, senior director of government services for the Middle East, Turkey and Africa at Boeing, said: “We are very interested in the potential of this partnership with AMMROC. This partnership will be a way to contribute to the development of the aviation sector in the region.”
The signing of this memorandum underscores AMMROC’s position as a key and active partner in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) sector. It also reflects its pivotal role in fostering innovation and self-sufficiency. This support is crucial for the military aviation sector.
