Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – The Trends Center for Research and Consulting in Abu Dhabi held a special session with a high-ranking delegation from the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS).
This is to discuss research cooperation between the two sides, and to discuss the outcomes of the second Trends Dialogue on Artificial Intelligence.
In addition to coordinating the organization of the third edition of the dialogue in Washington, DC.
The session came after the conclusion of the activities of the second dialogue, which was held under the title “Technological Diplomacy in the Middle East and North Africa Region”.
With wide participation from CSIS and leading international entities such as Google and OpenAI.
The dialogue, which was organized in partnership with the Cybersecurity Council, constituted an important platform that confirmed that artificial intelligence has become a strategic axis that reshapes the balance of international power.
This reinforces the need to develop cooperation between Trends and CSIS in this accelerating field.
The two sides discussed the most important results of the dialogue and its insights into the strategic transformations led by artificial intelligence technologies.
They also exchanged views on utilizing these outputs in formulating joint research programs and enhancing mutual understanding of the challenges technology poses to regional security, foreign policy, and digital governance.
The meeting reviewed the important role played by American experts during the dialogue sessions.
Whether in providing in-depth insights into artificial intelligence, or in supporting bridges of communication between experts from the two institutions.
In addition to discussing the possibility of organizing the third dialogue on artificial intelligence and technological diplomacy in Washington during the next year.
To be an expanded platform that brings together a group of prominent American think tanks and their counterparts in the Middle East.
The two sides stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between research institutions in the region and the United States.
