Dubai, United Arab Emirates – The Billion Followers Summit, the largest global summit in the content industry economy, organized by the UAE Government Media Office, announced the extension of the period for receiving applications to participate in the “largest international award for films generated with artificial intelligence” until next December 5.

This comes after unprecedented global interaction and a huge turnout from creative content creators from around the world to participate in the largest award of its kind globally.

Which is worth one million US dollars, and is organized by the Billion Followers Summit in cooperation with Google Gemini

The award achieved record numbers, with more than 16,380 entries received from 73 countries.

It topped the Middle East countries with 5,952 entries.

Entries from Asia reached 3,777 entries, followed by North Africa with 3,455 entries, followed by European countries with 1,386 entries.

1024 entries from the United States, and 790 entries from other countries.

This reflects the widespread global interest in this largest award of its kind.

More than 17.8 million people interacted with the participation in the award.

The award aims to support and encourage the production of films with meaningful content using various artificial intelligence tools and models, including Google Gemini, and to raise awareness of humanitarian messages.

In addition to enhancing the creative capabilities and aesthetic vision of creative content creators from around the world.

What are the conditions for participation?

Conditions for participation in the award include:

  • A minimum of 70% of the film must be produced using Google’s generative AI feature tools, including Veo, Imagen, Flow, and others.
  • In addition to tools from other providers that are based on Google Gemini technology, other editing tools and software can be used, but not for video generation.
  • The film participating in the award must be creative and realistic, and address two main topics: (reframing the future) through stories that explore the features of the future with a positive vision, and (the secret life of everything) by telling stories that we do not see centered around everything in life, and have not yet been told.
  • The duration of the film must range between 7 to 10 minutes, and those wishing to participate in the award can apply through the summit website: https://www.1billionsummit.com/ai-film-award، Provided that participation is in the name of one person only.

The judging phase to choose the top 10 films qualifying for the qualifiers will begin from December 6 to 15, and during the period from December 18 to 25, the public voting phase will begin on the ten qualified films to choose a list of the top 5 films from among them.
