Dubai, United Arab Emirates – The Ministry of Health and Community Protection is preparing a new national policy aimed at promoting smart health services and employing artificial intelligence technologies in the country’s health sector.
This is to improve the quality and efficiency of health services, and provide comprehensive and integrated health care to all members of society.
The Ministry reported, through its digital platforms, that the new policy focuses on developing a multi-sectoral national framework.
It ensures the promotion of digital innovation and supports the use of artificial intelligence technologies in providing smart preventive, therapeutic and rehabilitative health services.
The Ministry explained that the policy, which it is currently preparing, comes in line with the UAE’s future directions.
Foremost among these are the “We Are the Emirates 2031” vision, the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, the UAE Centenary 2071, and the 50-year health plan.
In addition to the UAE’s Artificial Intelligence Strategy 2031 and the National Innovation Strategy.
In this context, the Ministry launched a community questionnaire to survey the opinions of various segments of society.
Including healthcare workers, patients, and the general public, including young people and adolescents.
This is to provide valuable insights into the benefits, priorities, challenges and potential consequences associated with the application of smart health services and artificial intelligence.
She explained that the questionnaire aims to collect community opinions and comments to contribute to developing the national policy to promote smart health services and artificial intelligence in the health field of the United Arab Emirates.
By identifying the potential benefits, challenges and priorities associated with adopting these technologies, and collecting recommendations on the basic axes of the aforementioned policy.
By preparing this policy, the Ministry seeks to consolidate the UAE’s position as a global model for future health.
In addition to enhancing its competitiveness in the field of medical innovation and digital transformation.
By creating a health system capable of predicting health needs and confronting challenges with high efficiency, which enhances community well-being and quality of life.
