The Joint Operations Team continues its humanitarian missions in Afghanistan
These efforts come within the immediate relief response provided by the UAE to those affected by natural disasters/WAM

CONAR, Afghanistan – A team from the Joint Operations Command continues its humanitarian missions. They support those affected by the earthquake that struck eastern Afghanistan.

In response to the earthquake, 31 trucks loaded with basic foodstuffs, medical supplies, and shelter tents were delivered. These supplies were distributed to eligible individuals in the Kunar region of Afghanistan.

These efforts aim to mitigate the impact of the earthquake on the affected families.

This humanitarian air bridge, operated by the UAE through the Emirates Agency for International Aid and its humanitarian arm, the Emirates Red Crescent, supports the friendly Afghan people.

These efforts align with the UAE’s immediate relief response to natural disasters and various crises. They reflect its commitment to providing assistance to those in need worldwide.

The team arrived in Afghanistan last Wednesday and began its humanitarian and relief missions. This was in accordance with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE.

The primary objective of these missions is to support and assist those affected by the earthquake that struck the eastern regions of the country.
