Dubai, UAE – On Saturday, the Dubai Financial Market closed trading in the last session of the week, up by 0.862%, or the equivalent of 51.67 points, at the level of 6042.55 points. Supported by a rise in shares in four sectors, led by: banking, telecommunications, public utilities, and basic consumer goods.
Dubai Financial’s market capitalization rose to AED 998.34 billion at the end of Saturday’s session, compared to AED 990.22 billion at the end of trading last Thursday. With gains amounting to about 8.11 billion dirhams.
Market performance supported the growth of shares in four sectors, led by banks by 1.2%, telecommunications by 1.66%, and public utilities by 0.57%. In addition to basic consumer goods at 0.62%.
The listed stocks attracted liquidity exceeding AED 570.23 million. After trading approximately 228.03 million shares and executing 12,528 transactions.
During trading, citizen investors tended to buy with a net investment of about 106.35 million dirhams. After recording purchases worth more than AED 334.12 million, compared to sales worth AED 227.77 million.
It acquired shares of six companies listed on Dubai Financial: Emaar Properties, Emirates NBD, Al Salam Bank, and Etihad Energy Holding. “Talabat” and “Emirates Integrated Telecommunications – DO” obtained 70.78% of the market’s liquidity at the end of yesterday’s trading.
The total trading value of the six shares amounted to approximately AED 403.63 million. While the total trading value in the Dubai Financial Market as a whole amounted to approximately AED 570.23 million.
Emaar Properties shares topped the market activity in terms of liquidity at about 216.75 million dirhams, at 11.86 dirhams. Emirates NBD shares came second, with a trading value of AED 72.38 million, at AED 31.32. While Bank Al Salam shares came in third with trading amounting to 33.94 million dirhams at 0.88 dirhams per share.
Union Energy Holding shares came fourth in terms of liquidity, at about 32.39 million dirhams, at 2.88 dirhams. While Talabat shares came in fifth place with a trading value of AED 26.02 million at AED 1.21. Du shares came in sixth place with trading amounting to AED 22.12 million at AED 12.24 per share.
