Miami, USA – England received good news ahead of their anticipated quarter-final clash against Norway at the 2026 World Cup, after three of their key players recovered just hours before the match.
The Three Lions face Norway on Sunday morning in a crucial match, with both sides vying for a place in the semi-finals.
Sky Sports reported that Declan Rice, Mark Jehee, and Reece James participated fully in group training after recovering from injuries that had sidelined them in recent days.
Declan Rice had missed recent training sessions due to illness, which required his temporary isolation from the national team camp. Meanwhile, Mark Jehee has recovered from a hamstring injury. As a result, both players are available for selection against Norway.
Reece James also made his return to training for the first time since suffering a hamstring injury during England’s group stage match against Ghana, giving the coaching staff additional options ahead of the upcoming game.
England manager Thomas Tuchel confirmed the trio’s readiness, noting that all players are now available except for those absent due to suspension and injury.
Tuchel said: “All the players participated in training, and we have all the options available, except for the suspended Jarel Quansah, along with Jordan Henderson”.
Quarsah will miss the match against Norway after being sent off against Mexico, serving his suspension. Meanwhile, Henderson continues his recovery after undergoing surgery for a broken arm sustained in the same match.
