Dubai, UAE – On Thursday, the Dubai Financial Market ended four sessions of trading, up by 0.45%, or the equivalent of 26.08 points. At 5,882.63 points, supported by growth in shares of five sectors.
Dubai Financial’s market capitalization rose to AED 979.16 billion at the end of yesterday’s session (the last session of the current week). Compared to 975.46 billion dirhams at the end of the previous week’s trading, with gains amounting to about 3.7 billion dirhams.
The market performance supported the growth of shares in five sectors, led by the industrial sector by 1.87%, telecommunications by 0.35%, and banks by 0.01%. In addition, the luxury consumer goods sector increased by 1.27%, and basic consumer goods by 0.98%.
The shares listed on the Dubai Financial Market attracted liquidity exceeding 2.45 billion dirhams, after trading in about 751.25 million shares. 62,505 deals were executed.
During four sessions, citizen investors in the market turned to buying, with a net investment of about 201 million dirhams. After recording purchases worth more than 1.56 billion dirhams, compared to sales worth 1.35 billion dirhams.
