Moscow, Russia – A team of Russian scientists has announced the development of a new technology. This technology allows for the reuse of used car tires within concrete components to increase their strength and resistance to corrosion.

The researchers explained that the method involves treating parts of the tires and incorporating them into the concrete mix. This gives the concrete a better ability to absorb shocks and withstand stresses compared to conventional concrete.

The researchers noted that preliminary results showed a significant increase in the strength of rubber-reinforced concrete. This offers broad potential for use in construction and infrastructure projects, particularly in areas subject to vibration or repeated stress.

The scientific community believes this new innovation could contribute to waste reduction and improved sustainability. It is considered an effective solution for disposing of millions of damaged tires by recycling and reusing them in the construction industry.
