Voice of the Emirates – Motorola has launched its new Edge 70, one of the thinnest smartphones on the market, measuring just 5.99 mm thick. This impressive design maintains battery life comparable to flagship phones.
Despite its slim profile, the phone comes equipped with a 4800mAh battery, roughly the same size as the Samsung S25 Ultra’s battery. It also supports 68W wired fast charging and 15W Qi wireless charging. According to reviewers, the battery lasts most users a full day. Even light use can extend to two days, addressing one of the biggest concerns about ultra-slim phones.
The Edge 70 features a durable aluminum and silicone design, with an IP68 rating and MIL-STD-810H military-grade testing. This makes it less prone to breakage compared to competing phones like the iPhone Air and Samsung S25 Edge.
In terms of cameras, the phone comes with a 50-megapixel main camera and a wide-angle lens. However, it lacks a true telephoto lens, making it more suitable for everyday use than professional photography.
The phone is currently priced at £699 / €799 (approximately $920). It is available only in the UK and Europe, with no announcement regarding its availability in the US.
Despite some reviewers criticizing the abundance of ads and pre-installed apps, experts believe the Edge 70 offers a promising model for the future of slim phones. Its combination of thinness, large battery, and durability makes it a strong competitor in its category.
