Tehran, Iran – Iran renewed its warnings to Israel against attacking its territory.
Iranian Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh said that his country will resort to using an advanced generation of missiles if Israel launches new attacks against it.
Naseerzadeh also explained in statements on Wednesday that “the missiles used by Iranian forces during the 12-day war were produced by the Ministry of Defense several years ago.”
Advanced missiles
Naseerzadeh stressed that his country today possesses “more advanced missiles with capabilities superior to previous regimes”.
He stressed that “any new adventure by the enemy will undoubtedly be met using these missiles.”
The 12-day war
On June 13, Israel launched an attack on Iran that lasted 12 days. It included military and nuclear sites and civilian facilities.
It assassinated senior military leaders and nuclear scientists. Meanwhile, Tehran responded by targeting Israeli military and intelligence headquarters with ballistic missiles.
The United States entered this unprecedented confrontation on June 22. It attacked important Iranian nuclear facilities and asserted that it had ended Iran’s nuclear program.
For its part, Tehran responded by bombing the American Al Udeid base in Qatar. Then, on June 24, Washington announced a ceasefire between Israel and Iran.
