The Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement: “Diverse forces of the Northern Fleet carried out a missile strike on a hypothetical enemy in the Barents Sea as part of the joint strategic exercises “West-2025”.
She added: “The crew of the frigate Admiral Golovko carried out a practical launch of the Tsirkon supersonic missile at a naval target, and according to objective control data received in real time, the target was destroyed by direct hit”.
The statement added that the “West-2025” exercises include testing elements to protect coastal sites and the garrisons of the Northern Fleet.
