Nairobi, Kenya – Khalifa Enterprise Development Fund announced its support for 10 Emirati small and medium-sized companies to participate in the activities of Greens Africa 2025.

The exhibition will be held from August 21 to 23 in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi.

It is one of the most prominent international platforms concerned with the agriculture and food security sector on the African continent.

Companies supported by the Khalifa Fund operate in the agricultural technology, food security and sustainable agriculture sectors.

The participation comes within the framework of the Fund’s efforts to enhance the prospects for growth and expansion of national entrepreneurship. Additionally, it aims to contribute to advancing development within priority sectors.

This step provides the Fund with an opportunity to showcase its strategic initiatives to support innovation and empower small and medium enterprises.

This is in addition to enhancing the international competitiveness of Emirati companies. It aligns with national priorities and develops industry, supply chains, and exports.

Greens Africa 2025 represents a gateway to promising markets in Africa.

Its value is expected to reach one trillion US dollars by 2030.

Exhibitors from 16 countries

This year, the exhibition is held in conjunction with “AgroFood-Plastpack” (AgroFood-Plastpack), with the participation of exhibitors from 16 countries.

This reinforces the exhibition’s importance in consolidating international cooperation in addressing food challenges. It is key in shaping the future of the agricultural sector.

His Excellency Moza Obaid Al Nasseri, CEO of Khalifa Enterprise Development Fund, said, “Participation in this exhibition reflects the Fund’s commitment to supporting emerging entrepreneurs and Emirati entrepreneurs and enhancing their competitiveness globally. It is also consistent with its vision to establish the foundations of a sustainable business system that supports long-term growth and contributes to diversifying the tributaries of the national economy.”

During the event, Emirati companies supported by the Khalifa Fund will showcase the latest innovative solutions.

These solutions cover several areas, such as value-added projects in food processing. They also include sustainable agriculture solutions that take into account climate challenges.

The list of companies includes, for example, Eastgate, which operates bakery equipment. Another is iPack, which specializes in producing high-quality sterile cardboard packaging.

The companies also include Orion, which specializes in providing advanced packaging products. Also, Popular Bakorn, the family company specializing in producing healthy and distinctive popcorn.

Khalifa Fund’s participation in Greens Africa 2025 represents an opportunity to facilitate the entry of Emirati companies into African markets.

The program focuses on enhancing the global competitiveness of local projects and enabling them to benefit from exports. It does this by providing advisory services and capacity-building tools.

Khalifa Fund’s support for SME participation in Greens Africa 2025 comes as part of its ongoing efforts to support national entrepreneurship.

In addition to strengthening bridges of cooperation with one of the fastest growing markets in the world.

This step confirms the Fund’s commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. Furthermore, it contributes to consolidating the position of Abu Dhabi and the UAE as a leading destination for innovation.
