Pyongyang, North Korea – North Korean leader Kim Jong Un praised what he called his country’s struggle against a US-led military threat.

He pledged to turn North Korea into “the best socialist paradise in the world”.

This was during his speech at the country’s anniversary celebrations, attended by high-ranking foreign figures from China, Russia, and elsewhere.

Kim’s speech comes on the eve of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the ruling Labor Party. This event falls on Friday.

At a time when it seeks to strengthen an anti-Western partnership with other countries.

Even noting his interest in resuming diplomacy with the United States.

A military parade could be the culmination of North Korea’s anniversary events.

It is expected to be held later on Friday in a square in Pyongyang.
