Beijing, China – Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Li Qiang discussed ways to strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership between the United Arab Emirates and the People’s Republic of China. They also discussed expanding cooperation in vital sectors. This took place during an official visit by the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi to Beijing, highlighting Abu Dhabi’s pivotal role in the relationship.

Strengthening economic and development relations

During the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of building upon the progress achieved in bilateral relations. Additionally, Abu Dhabi continues to play a central part in fostering economic, investment, and development collaboration. They also stressed the need to work towards developing cooperation in the economic, investment, and development sectors. This work should serve mutual interests and support sustainable development in both countries.

Expanding areas of future partnership

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi emphasized the UAE’s commitment to strengthening its strategic partnership with China, particularly in the economic, advanced technology, and supply chain sectors. He also highlighted the importance of capitalizing on future opportunities to enhance integration between the two sides. This partnership, with significant involvement from Abu Dhabi, comes amidst global economic shifts.

Signing of memoranda of understanding and joint cooperation

The meeting witnessed the signing of several memoranda of understanding aimed at expanding cooperation in the fields of clean energy, investment, sustainable agriculture, health sciences, and advanced technology. Moreover, Abu Dhabi’s government representatives were key in these agreements, strengthening the UAE-China partnership and supporting the exchange of expertise. It also aids the implementation of joint research programs.

Discussion of regional and international developments

The meeting also addressed the latest regional and international developments. Both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening stability and consolidating peaceful solutions to conflicts. Furthermore, Abu Dhabi’s vision for diplomacy was evident as they affirmed their support for international coordination to address shared challenges. This thereby contributes to the enhancement of international peace and security.
