London, England – Tottenham Hotspur have entered into preliminary negotiations to sign Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, who plays for Galatasaray in Turkey, as part of their plan to strengthen their squad during the current summer transfer window.
CaughtOffside reports that Tottenham have begun talks with the Turkish club to explore the possibility of signing Osimhen. This comes at the request of Italian manager Roberto De Zerbi, who is looking to bolster the team’s attacking options before the start of the new season.
The report added that the London club is preparing an offer worth between £50 million and £55 million, while Galatasaray is holding out for around £65 million to agree to sell their top scorer.
The report indicated that negotiations are still in their early stages, but Tottenham officials consider Osimhen one of their top transfer targets. They also hope to reach an agreement in the coming weeks.
Tottenham’s move comes as they continue their preparations for the new season. The team secured a 2-1 victory over Chelsea in a friendly match held on Saturday.
The London team is expected to continue its pre-season program when it faces Getafe of Spain on August 8, before playing Hoffenheim of Germany on August 15, as part of its preparations for the start of the 2026-2027 season.
