Abu Dhabi, UAE – Al Wasl achieved a thrilling victory over their host Al Wahda with a score of (3-2), in the match that brought them together at Al Nahyan Stadium, as part of the 24th round of the ADNOC Pro League.
Al Wasl opened the scoring early in the fifth minute through Miguel Borja, before Facundo Daniel equalized for Al Wahda in the 35th minute, ending the first half with a score of (1-1).

— ADSportsTV (@ADSportsTV) May 6, 2026 In the second half, Al Wasl regained their lead with a second goal from a penalty kick executed by Nicolas Jimenez in the 55th minute, but Al Wahda responded quickly, after Omar Kharbin won a penalty kick from which he scored the equalizer in the 67th minute.
As the match was heading towards a draw, Al Wasl snatched the winning goal in the dying moments, through Fabio Lima from a penalty kick in the 90+7th minute, to decide the summit in favor of his team.
With this result, Al Wasl raised its tally to 42 points to break into third place, while Al Wahda’s tally remained frozen at 39 points in fifth place.
The match saw a strong start from Al Wasl, who nearly scored an early goal after a dangerous chance was cleared off the line by Al Wahda’s defense. They then converted their dominance into a goal, while the home side gradually worked their way back and managed to equalize before the end of the first half.
