Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Football fans in the Arab world are eagerly awaiting a friendly match between the Egyptian and Saudi national teams, as part of both teams’ preparations for the 2026 World Cup, which will be hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico.
The two teams are scheduled to meet at Al-Inma Stadium in Jeddah, as part of their preparation program for the World Cup, where each side seeks to assess the readiness of its players before the global event.
Egypt vs Saudi Arabia match
The Egyptian national team enters the match with high ambitions to deliver a strong performance that will give the coaching staff an opportunity to evaluate the players and settle on the optimal lineup before the start of the tournament.
On the other hand, the Saudi national team aspires to take advantage of the home ground and crowd factors, and achieve a positive result that reflects its readiness to compete.
The draw for the 2026 World Cup placed Egypt in Group G alongside Belgium, Iran, and New Zealand. Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia was drawn into Group H with Spain, Uruguay, and Cape Verde.
Egypt will begin their campaign in the tournament by facing Belgium on June 15, then meet New Zealand in the second round on June 22, before concluding the group stage with a match against Iran.
On the other hand, the Saudi national team will begin its journey by facing Uruguay on June 16, then Spain on June 21. It will conclude its group stage matches against Cape Verde on June 27.

The match will take place on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Al-Inma Stadium in Jeddah.
