With this result, Arsenal increased their tally to 57 points at the top of the standings, but gave Manchester City the opportunity to reduce the gap to just four points, further intensifying the competition for the title.
In contrast, Brentford raised their tally to 40 points in seventh place, continuing their positive results this season.
