Cairo, Egypt – President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi congratulated the Egyptian national handball team on winning the African Nations Cup, a new achievement added to the record of Egyptian sports. This came after the Pharaohs secured the championship for the tenth time in their history and the fourth consecutive time, following their 37-24 victory over Tunisia in the final.
President El-Sisi expressed his pride in the national team players’ performance, emphasizing that this achievement reflects the spirit of determination and perseverance possessed by Egypt’s champions. He added that it demonstrates the high standing Egyptian handball has attained among the top teams in the sport regionally and internationally.
The President wrote on his official Facebook page: “I congratulate the Egyptian national handball team on their great achievement of winning the African Nations Cup for the tenth time and the fourth time in a row, an accomplishment that reflects their spirit of determination and perseverance, and confirms Egypt’s standing among the greats of the sport regionally and globally.” He added: “I am proud of you, and I pray to God that Egyptian sports will continue to achieve victories and successes to bring joy to our great nation”.
