Abu Dhabi, UAE – Bani Yas achieved a surprising victory over their host Al Dhafra by two goals to nil, in the match that brought them together on Monday evening, as part of the UAE League competition.
Bani Yas met Al Dhafra at the Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Stadium, as part of the tenth round of the ADNOC Pro League competition.
Bani Yas opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, through Lionel Govou, after a powerful shot from inside the penalty area found the back of the net.
Sevior Godwin added Bani Yas’ second goal in the 58th minute, after dribbling and then shooting a ball from inside the penalty area that nestled in the net.
