Cairo, Egypt – The match between Al Jazira and Al Wasl, which took place this Sunday evening, ended in a goalless draw in the UAE Pro League Cup 2025-26.
Al Jazira met Al Wasl at Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium in the quarter-finals of the Abu Dhabi Bank Cup.
Al Wasl started the match well, scoring an early goal in the first minute through Matheus Saldanha, but it was disallowed for offside.
Simon Panza missed a chance to put Al Jazira ahead in the 11th minute of the first half, after a header from inside the penalty area went just wide of the post.
In the second half, Al Jazira player Simon Banza missed a penalty kick in the 59th minute, after Al Wasl goalkeeper Mohammed Al Wali saved the ball.
The match remained a back-and-forth affair between the two teams without any goals being scored, ending in a goalless draw.
With that result, the two teams are waiting for the second leg to officially determine which team qualifies for the semi-finals.
