Paris, France – Wissam Ben Yedder, the French national team star and player for Turkish football club Sakaryaspor, faces charges of rape and sexual assault
after French judicial authorities decided
He and his brother Sabri were referred to the regional criminal court,
according to the French newspaper L’Equipe.
The case dates back to the summer of 2023, when the player
and his brother met two girls during a party in a French coastal area.
Charge of sexual assault
The newspaper explained that the investigating judge approved
the public prosecutor’s recommendation to refer the accused to trial.

Ben Yedder is 35 years old and was previously convicted last year
of sexual assaulting a young woman.
Charge of psychological abuse
He was also fined 90,000 euros for psychologically abusing his ex-wife.
