The race saw the participation of more than 250 international delegations. They came from around the world in a sporting and humanitarian atmosphere. This atmosphere embodies the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul. His messages of giving and human unity were present.

Allocating race proceeds

Proceeds from the Rio race will go to the Rio Solidario Foundation, one of Brazil’s leading non-profit organizations. The foundation supports children, women, and families in need. It provides opportunities for social inclusion. This aligns with the Zayed Charity Race’s global mission to transform sports into a platform for creating hope. Moreover, it aims to make a direct impact on people’s lives.

The race’s hosting in Rio de Janeiro marks a pivotal milestone in its global journey. Launched in Abu Dhabi in 2001, it has now reached continents around the world. The event brings together tens of thousands of people under the umbrella of sport and charitable work. The “World’s Greatest Aid Race” remains a revitalized symbol of the humanitarian legacy left by the late Sheikh Zayed. This legacy is passed down from generation to generation.

The Zayed Charity Race for the 2025-2026 season is supported by the Emirates Red Crescent, the Al Habtoor Group, and Norinco. This partnership reflects their shared commitment to continuing to promote the legacy of the Founding Father. They aim to spread this legacy through the Zayed Charity Race.
