Johannesburg, South Africa – The UAE national wheelchair basketball team (3×3) made a strong start in the World Championship currently being held in South Africa, after winning the opening match over the Croatia national team with a score of 14 – 8, in the first group competitions, which includes with them the teams of Britain, Egypt and Kenya.
The national team players gave a distinguished performance characterized by focus and fighting spirit, which gave them the advantage from the first minutes until the final whistle.
Today, the team will play three important matches against Egypt, Kenya and Britain, through which it aspires to continue its positive results and advance towards the final rounds.
The national team delegation is headed by Ismail Al-Maraziq, and includes the technical staff led by coach Abbas Akakujki and his assistant Tariq Iliasi, in addition to players Muhammad Hashel Al-Habsi, Jassim Murad Ramadan, Mansour Al-Naqbi, and Muhammad Al-Hamid Al-Hashemi.
