Medina, Saudi Arabia – The Imam of the Prophet’s Mosque delivered a sermon addressing the scenes of pilgrims on the Day of Arafah, emphasizing that the gathering of millions of Muslims from diverse nationalities and backgrounds during the Hajj season represents a shining example of the unity of the Muslim Ummah and the perfection of the Hajj rituals.
The Imam explained that the pilgrims’ arrival at the holy sites and their performance of the rituals with order and spirituality reflects the greatness of Islam and its ability to unite hearts under one banner, in a scene that is repeated every year to affirm the meanings of brotherhood and equality among Muslims without distinction or discrimination.
He pointed out that the Day of Arafah, the greatest day of Hajj, holds profound spiritual significance, as it encompasses the most important pillars of Hajj in one day. On this day, obedience and submission to God Almighty are manifested in their highest form, from the stoning of the Jamarat to the circumambulation of the Kaaba, the Sa’i (walking between Safa and Marwa), and the sacrifice, all within a comprehensive system of worship.
He added that the meticulous organization witnessed at the holy sites reflects the tremendous efforts exerted by the relevant authorities to serve the pilgrims and provide them with the utmost comfort and safety to perform their rituals with ease and convenience.
The preacher also called on Muslims to draw lessons from Hajj in their daily lives by promoting values of tolerance, cooperation, and avoiding disputes, emphasizing that the message of Hajj is not limited to a few days, but its effects extend to a person’s behavior after returning home.
This comes as pilgrims continue to arrive to perform the remaining Hajj rituals, amidst a spiritually uplifting and well-organized atmosphere at the holy sites.
