Tunis – Tunisian President Kais Saied delivered direct and firm messages to the Muslim Brotherhood, emphasizing his rejection of any attempts to sow chaos or undermine state institutions. This came during his supervision of the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Internal Security Forces.
Saied stated that security forces accompanied a number of demonstrations and sit-ins to protect participants, despite what he described as provocations. He indicated that some actions aimed to create confusion and sow doubt, but they failed to achieve their goals due to citizens’ awareness of the true nature of these practices.
He added that those behind these actions “change their colors every day,” noting that they tried to exploit the state and the people to achieve their own interests. However, these attempts failed. He affirmed that public opinion is no longer influenced by what is published on some platforms with the aim of inciting chaos.
The Tunisian president praised the role of the security services, especially those working in prisons, emphasizing their commitment to upholding the law and respecting the rights of detainees. This came despite what he described as misleading campaigns targeting state institutions. He stressed at the end of his remarks that Tunisia is going through a critical phase that requires confronting all forms of crime and maintaining the country’s stability.
