Abu Dhabi, UAE – European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced via the X platform that she had spoken with Mohammed bin Zayed, President of the UAE. She affirmed the European Union’s full support and offered condolences to the families of the victims of the recent Iranian attacks.
A blatant violation of sovereignty
Von der Leyen described the attacks as a clear violation of the UAE’s sovereignty and a breach of international law. She also noted that this was not the first time the country had been targeted by missile and drone attacks from Iran and its proxies.
