Tehran, Iran – The Iranian Foreign Ministry revealed that the diplomatic process with the United States has reached
an advanced stage of review, emphasizing that “time is of the essence” in the Iranian leadership’s efforts to lift economic sanctions.
In a press statement today, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei explained that Tehran is currently studying the general
and specific aspects related to developing the diplomatic track with Washington.
He also noted that the region is witnessing intensive activity in support of these efforts.
Features of the new diplomatic movement
Baqaei highlighted several key points reflecting Iran’s current position:
Regional Momentum: The spokesperson emphasized that neighboring countries
and the region have intensified their contacts and efforts in recent days to advance the diplomatic process.
Critical Timing: Baqaei stressed that Iran will not allow the negotiations to be “misused” as happened in previous phases, asserting,
“Every day we succeed in lifting or easing sanctions is an achievement and a victory for us.”
Precision vs. Speed: Tehran seeks to balance a meticulous review of the issue with achieving tangible results as quickly as possible.
Decision-making stage
These statements reinforce speculation that certain understandings are imminent.
Baghaei indicated that Iranian institutions are currently studying “various aspects and angles of the issue” to reach a final decision.
The spokesman promised to reveal further details in the coming days, suggesting that negotiations have moved beyond
the “exchange of messages” stage to the “finalization of options” stage.
Observers believe that Baghaei’s tone reflects a clear Iranian desire to end the economic stalemate.
There is also a wariness of repeating past experiences of stalling tactics by the international parties involved.
