Tehran, Iran – The Iranian Foreign Ministry affirmed that its relations with both Russia and China are based on mutual respect and shared interests, denying any claims of subservience or unbalanced alignment.

The ministry emphasized that Tehran pursues an independent foreign policy

that safeguards its sovereignty and serves its national priorities.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson stated that cooperation with Moscow and Beijing falls

within the framework of clearly defined strategic partnerships encompassing political, economic, energy, and security spheres.

He noted that these relations are not directed against any third party

but are founded on the principle of balance in international relations and the rejection of dictates.

Tehran and multipolarity

He added that Iran views Russia and China as reliable partners amidst the rapid transformations occurring in the international system,

asserting that the world is moving towards multipolarity and that his country is an active participant in this shift, not merely a follower.

These statements come at a time of escalating geopolitical tensions globally,

as Tehran seeks to bolster its diplomatic and economic presence eastward as part of a broader strategy to break

its isolation and counter Western pressure through alliances based on interests rather than slogans.
